A space to explore emotions and make sense of the world
My passion is to hold space for children to explore their emotions safely and make sense of the world around them, leading them to flourish and live peacefully with themselves and others as they grow.I view my work with children as a partnership with parents, providing resources and interventions to support their child’s mental wellness outside of therapy sessions.I use a strengths-based approach with families and many attachment-based play therapy techniques with children, allowing them to explore vulnerable topics through play within the unique bounds of the therapeutic relationship.

Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Effective January 1, 2022, a law called the “No Surprises Act,” which requires practitioners to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” to clients. This impacts individuals who have elected to work with a practitioner under a self-pay model. As a patient of both mental and physical health care, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” outlining how much your healthcare is expected to cost.Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who are not using insurance to pay for their services an estimate of the expected charges for medical services. This includes mental health services.Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and your engagement in continuing services. The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider listed within the Good Faith Estimate. It is not a recommendation for treatment or a treatment plan. Your Good Faith Estimate is a multiplication of the fee for each session by the number of sessions anticipated. The number of visits appropriate in your case may vary as you continue to consult with your provider and assess your needs. The Good Faith Estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur and if your original Good Faith Estimate does not reflect the fees associated with any such circumstances, you should be provided a new Good Faith Estimate should this occur. If your provider’s fee changes, you should also be provided a new Good Faith Estimate to reflect your provider’s updated fees.Lizzie Flood, LCSW provides Good Faith Estimates at the intake session, as well as at each renewal of the client’s treatment plan. Clients may also request an updated Good Faith Estimate at any time.In the event that you are not able to resolve any such substantial discrepancy between your Good Faith Estimate and what you are billed by your provider, you have a right to initiate a dispute resolution process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). If you choose to use the dispute resolution process, you must start the dispute process within 120 calendar days (about 4 months) of the date on the original bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
